Andrew Mark Hueppauff

24/7/1972 - 9/11/2006 (aged 34 years)

A life tragically cut short and greatly missed by all who knew him

Andrew purchased his beloved Brittany in 1994.  She was originally purchased for obedience and Andrew picked her up at the GSDC of SA MBE and was a very proud owner, prouder than the owners and breeders of the dogs graded VA that day.  Through the encouragement and support of Britt's breeders, Andrew decided to have a go at this showing lark... and he never looked back.  Britt was BSCL1 and multi excellent graded.  They did do some obedience together and Brittany was Andrew's foundation bitch for his kennel - Vondoussa.

Andrew met Melissa (who became his second love in life - behind Britt of course!!) and welcomed her into his kennel.  In 1998 they moved to Lewiston (north of Adelaide) - "doggy heaven", to further develop their breeding plans and kennel.  Vondoussa very much became a joint partnership and kennel.

Andrew made friends very easily with his very easy going approach to life, his enjoyment of everything, but most of all his lovely smile.  He had a smile for everyone and a joke or two as well.  Andrew was very supportive of his friends and family and happy to help out and would give the shirt from his own back.

Andrew loved fishing, and helped get his mate Peter bitten by the bug (sorry Jen).  They had many wonderful days, "male bonding" in fishing shops and out in the boat (but only after Andrew had taken his seasickness tablets and put his wrist bands on).

Andrew also enjoyed rifle shooting - preferably aiming at the odd rabbit, but target shooting as well.  He had just joined the Phoenix Target Rifle Club and was having a ball with the new friendships he had established there.  Most of Andrew's rabbit hunting was done with his mates Hugh (Mr B) and Rodney (Rabbit) - the One Tree Hill Crew.

Andrew was very proud of all the achievments of the kennel and in particular the more recent achievements of the kennel and Melissa - particularly of the herding success obtained with Georgie and then with his own Wicca.

2006 was a good year for Andrew and the kennel.  Andrew handling "his" Pagan (Giant Schnauzer - thanks Sandy Foote) - won back to back Best of Breed at the Adelaide Royal, Folly's Australian Champ title (many thanks to Nichole for her lovely handling), Georgie's HT and PT herding titles, and Wicca's own HT Title (thanks to Cass our trainer, Bill our training partner and stockman, and Nikki - Bill's wife, great cook and cheer squad) and Sled dog racing training (thanks to Craig and John for their support, encouragement and laughter).  As a breeder he also saw 2 more of the Vondoussa 'G' litter obtain excellents in the show ring and Genie (beloved of the Mucci Family) obtain her CD title and an Obedience excellent.

Vondoussa kennels is only small and hasn't been around that long, but together we had achieved a lot.  Now I'll be trying to continue what we had planned together and continue to make Andrew proud.
