Folly's critique 2008 National - 12th Excellent Open Bitch
Large med strong, substantial well pigmented bitch with pronounced elongated body props. Fem head with good expression. High withers, straight back, good length & lay of croup. The upper arm should be longer & better angled, v/g hind ang. Stands correct in front. Shows correct sequence of steps. During movement shows enthusiastic v/g ground covering gait.
In late August 2006, "Folly" returned to the show ring with her new handler - young Nichole Loftus (13 years of age). This partnership has blossomed & gone from strength to strength. In only 7 shows they have achieved "Folly's" Australian Champion Title which included 2 Best in Groups.
Judges comments from her Best In Groups Wins - "...lovely, strong, flowing mover; very impressive bitch; powerful mover who loves to run..."
Andrew & I are proud of all our dogs & love them dearly. We are deeply indebted to Nichole for her rather innocent query of "... do you have a German Shepherd I could show?" Which of the dogs at home (which are all specialist trained) could a junior handler, handle?? "Folly" had been doing some obedience training & was waiting to grow coat back from her litter, so she was considered possibly controllable for a junior handler. What a decision that was!!!

In 2007 "Folly" had her first specialist show in years & with her young handler (Nichole turned 14 on 16th Mar) received their Excellent. Nichole has now handled Folly to numerous high excellent gradings with the culmination at the 2008 National. All of Folly's Ex Medals take pride of place at Nichole's in amongst the Basset hound winnings!! WHAT A TEAM!!
